Pont-Aven 3/4-Sleeve Top

I really wanted this top in Fog but since that color is not available, I opted for the Amber. I ordered a medium but kinda wonder if a small would have been a little better (I could possibly be in-between medium/small). I’m 5’8”, 155 lbs., and somewhat busty. There’s plenty of room for me in the medium, it doesn’t fall off my shoulders or look too boxy on me but I wonder what the small would be like. I am not unhappy with the fit of this medium but I am wearing it with a more fitted pant to minimize any extra fabric that causes a woman of a certain age (ahem) to look baggy. I have asked for an email update when the Fog becomes available and I may order that in small. I love this linen fabric! It is soft, supple, and a good 3-season weight. I live in Dallas, TX where it’s hotter than you know what right now but I still can wear this top. I really like the 3/4 sleeves and roll them up a couple times. I can attest that this garmet is well-made because I sew and I know things. The French seams are the clue - I was so pleasantly surprised to see this. If you don’t know, French seams are finished seams to prevent fraying. It takes extra time to produce but oh so nice. I’ve waited a minute to write this review to make sure my first impression would be upheld through wearing and washing. Because I would be okay if it shrunk just a little, I dried it in the dryer. My unscientific analysis of that is that it didn't shrink - I measured the width of the front bottom hem at 23” and it was 23” when it came out of the dryer. I love linen and wish Petalura could get the Fog color restocked. I also bought two pairs of the Malaga European Linen Relaxed Pant. I believe Petalura suggests (or perhaps it was other reviewers) that if you are in between sizes, to order down. All in all - I would recommend this item.

I have the Amber color and it is gorgeous. I bought the XL b/c Petalura tops tend to run on the smaller size. This one fits well. I’m hoping the Teal one will be back in stock soon, as I’d like to order it also.

I just loved the Pont-Aven 3/4 sleeve tops...I bought them both. Loved the colors and style. Loved the fabric quality and craftsmanship. I'm a size 8 and bought the Small. I think the sleeves should be rolled once or twice for a cuffed look. I will wear them with boxy linen cropped pants or long pants. They will be a nice top for jewelry and scarves. Lovely!

The shirt is very nice and the color is perfect. I am not sure I can live with the wrinkles. They showed up just by trying the shirt on. Pure linen may not be for me. I promise to decide whether I have to send it back very soon. I have two other pieces from Petalura that I love.
